Stevenson Middle School has voted to join The Partnership for Los Angeles Schools. It is a first-of-its-kind collaboration between the City of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). These schools will serve as models of reforms whose best practices will be shared with LAUSD's Innovation Division for Educational Achievement (IDEA) and replicated throughout the District. Superintendent David L. Brewer III created Innovation Division for Educational Achievement (IDEA). The new structure will allow teachers, administrators, and parents/guardians to submit collaborative proposals to implement innovative educational programs at their schools, and develop partnerships that support school communities to improve student achievement.
